About OnTrentThe OnTrent Initiative is a partnership project involving a wide range of public, voluntary and commercial organisations. The project is working to secure a sustainable balance between the natural and historic heritage, agriculture, commercial activity and development along the River Trent. Where does the initiative cover? The initiative area focuses on the low-lying land in parishes adjacent to the River Trent between Stoke-on-Trent and the Humber Estuary. Where ncessary we also wok on the tributaries of the Trent to support work that is not possible on the Trent itself.
The work of OnTrent falls mainly into one of 1) Influencing policy, 2) Raising Awareness and 3) Delivering Projects. There is lots of information about OnTrent, it's work and the issues it seeks to influence on this website.
