About the River Trent

The Trent is England's third longest river after the Thames and the Severn. In the past the Trent has suffered from pollution, and drainage schemes, from intensive farming practises and development turning its back to it.

There is much more to the River Trent than you may realise. In this section are a few facts about the river and some information on its history.
